I played this game a while ago and have just remembered why I never got anywhere in it – you can change part of bridge at one end of the map and have that somehow stop a completely different bridge from being strong enough.

On Level 5 I had two perfect bridges but the last one didn't work. Changed the last bridge a bit and suddenly the first bridge wasn't strong enough for the elephant, so I had to reinforce it loads. I tried again and the revisions to the last bridge weren't good enough. I rebuilt it for a second time only to find that this somehow made the SECOND bridge not work.

For those stuck on level 17 – just think as simplistically as possible.
